No API · No dashboard · Your own account
EasyPost is built for developers — but you do not have to be one to use it. Easy-Post Desktop lets you print labels, compare carrier rates and track parcels on your own EasyPost account from a normal desktop app. No code, no living in the web dashboard.
EasyPost's multi-carrier rates and labels are excellent, but the two ways in are a developer API and a web dashboard. If you just want to buy a label, or your team ships all day, writing against the API is not realistic and the dashboard is not built for volume. Plenty of EasyPost accounts sit half-used for exactly this reason.
Easy-Post Desktop connects to your own EasyPost API key and turns it into a point-and-click application:
Postage is billed by EasyPost directly, so the app never touches your money or adds a markup.
Sign up free at easypost.com, then copy your API key from your account's API Keys page. Paste it into Easy-Post Desktop on first launch. Use a test-mode key to try everything with no real carrier charges — the app is free in test mode, and a one-time $29.99 unlock enables production (real) labels when you are ready.
The app also speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so you can connect an AI agent — Claude, Cursor, VS Code — to your shipping data to shop rates and answer questions. Any actual purchase still routes through a human approval step inside the app, so nothing is bought without you.
